Sharaunkhola

Sharaunkhola  is a famous and beautiful  VDC of among 55 VDC of Parbat, which has nine wards. It is situated in the 30 minutes top from the Sharaunkhola-Huwas vdc border. Sharaunkhola is that place where many natural resources and beautiful scenes are exists such as hillsides, streams, jungles and many more.

Peoples of Sharaunkhola vdc has very helpful and socialistic nature, they help and care about the any new faces who comes at there.The following is the view of Tallo Kahun Tole of sharaunkhola vdc. Which is the very romantic and popular place of sharaunkhola.

The total population of Sharaunkhola is 2,457 (1991). But is going to increasing  rate day by day. Mainly Brahmins, Magar, Gurung, Chettry, Newar, Dominant people and other society are lives in this vdc.

Nachne dada (a hillside) is a very famous and romantic area of this VDC, from there we can see various part of sharaunkhola and other VDCs. There is a Durga Bhagawati Mandir where organises Durga Puja during the time of Dashami by their local community. In this time many peoples are comes to pray the Devi Durga god.

Kushma-Gyadi Suspension Bridge

It a very tallest suspension bridge around the country, which is situated in nearest from Kushma Bazzar. It a very long and tallest and it is a nice view point around the kushma (head quarter of parbat district). From this suspension bridge we feel heavenly romantic experiance about the nature. At midpoint of this bridge we can see the river below very far and preity well. This suspension bridge made by nepali technology and skill which is the proud of the nation. Kushma-Gyadi Suspension Bridge area also a tourism area of the Parbat.

 The villagers in Parbat district couldn't believe when they first heard about this bridge that would connect district headquarter to rest of its VDCs through 344 meters long Kusma-Gyadi suspension bridge above 135 meters.

"Gupteshwor Guffa"

The Gupteshwor Guffa (cave) lies in shivalaya vdc of parbat. Kushma (district head quarter) in the edge of Kaligndaki river. This is a historcal cave of parbat district. This cave is very important the view of religious perspective. There aremany statues of various types of gods inside this cave. At the time of Balachaturdasi Hindus people are come there to scatter the grain cereal (sadbeu charne) to the name of godIt takes 15 minutes from Kushma bazzar by teak. This cave might be also main attraction for tourism.

"Shaligram Sangam Sthall"

It is also a greatest and famous tourism area of Parbat, which is situated at Kali Gandaki river side of Shaligram vdc of parbat. It is also a place where Gulmi and Syangja districts are join with parbat. "Shaligram Sangam Sthall" is populated by a huge round stone "Silajit", which represents the god and thousands of pilgrims visited durin the Baisakh Sankranti, Magh Sankranti and Ekadashi. During this occassion there is run a huge Trade Fair/Mela which is organizes by their bazzar commitee. Among them Gandaki river is popular for rafting, and many tourists are comes by the rafting.

History of Paiyun

The paiyun chettra is situated in the southern part of parbat district. Hosrangdi VDC was the head quarter of "Paiyun Rajya". At paiyun kot (where paiyun kalika temple situated) there was a palace of king of "Paiyun Raja" so it is also known as "Durbar Danda".

Under this paiyun chettra 20 VDCs of parbat are exists. Lunkhu, Falamkhani, Kurgha, Pakhapani, Balakot, Bhoksing, Hosrangdi, Bhorle, Sharaunkhola, Huwas, Triveni, Taklak, Beulibaas, Uram, Saligram, Ranipani, Wahaki, Barrachaur, Baccha and Pakhapani are the VDCs of the paiyun chettra.

How to access

Parbat district has a distict accessibility by land. The bus takes 5-6 hours from kathmandu and 1 and half hour from Pokhara city. The Pokhara to baglung (Bhupi Serchan) highway is crossed the middle part of the district. We can also use another hghway from Pokhara to Syangja (Siddhartha highway). There is another road also to go to parbat district like walling to mirmi to setibeni and setibeni to Kushma the district headquarter of parbat or we can use walling (syangja) to huwas (by the subway from walling) and huwas to kushma. To enter the paiyun chettra we can easily access by walling to huwas motor road. This road might access the south belt of parbat district.

Culture Of Parbat District

The culture of the district can be categorize in two major parts i.e. Ethnic culture and Archoeological monuments. The district is a home to a diverse range of ethnic groups like Gurungs, Magars and Newars. The Gurungs people are the original indigenous ethnic group of western nepal. Religion custom, tradition, folk lore, language, fairs and festival, living style of the people, harvesting pattern art craft etc. are own unique features of those indigenous groups.

Archoelogical monuments are also equally important as cultural sectorin parbat district. Temple, Gumbas, Pati, Devalaya, Silajit, Cave, Religious pillar etc. are major monuments in the district. Silajit (Saligram) of setibeni is a very religious holy area and pilgrimage destination for all of the people and other way paiyun kot temple is very famous in paiyun chettra. Similarly, Modibeni, Gupteshwor Guffa, Durlung Kot, Panchase and other Gumbas are situated in the horthern side are famous cultural monuments in the district. These are the major cultural attraction for the tourism.

Geographical View Of Parbat

Parbat district is very famous area for the view of tourism. Syangja district in the east-south, Gulmi district in the south, Baglung district in the west and the Myagdi district in the west-north. This district is very rich in its ownself in natural resources and flora and fauna, bio diversity. it is also homer to diverse range of ethnic goups and both cultural and natural heritage.

Parbat district lies in the western part of nepal in dhaulagiri zone. This is mountain district, geographically this district situated in low land "Setibeni" to upper land "Jaljala Ko Dhuri". The attitude ranges from 1 700 to 10 700 feet above mean from the sea level and this district covers 536.86 sq.kms of the total area of the nation.The total population of parbat district is 1,57,826 (2001).

Politically this district divided into 495 wards, 55 VDCs, 11 areas and 2 election area. Kushma is the district head quarter of this district.

Agriculture is the mainstay of parbat district on which 90.82% of the population depend. The local economy is also heavily dependent on remittances and pensions, which amount to 38% of the total district GDP.

Paiyun Kalika Mandir (temple)

Paiyun Kalika Mandir is a very famous mandir (temple) of paiyun chettra, kalika mandir especially famous for kalka and navadurga god. During of  Vijaya Dashami (durga puja) there is a  many thousands of pilgrims are comes to pray the god Durga to blessing the happines and joy for their family and the nation. Mainly astami and navami time under durga puja especially peoples gives different animals to the Durga as bali for save their life.

Animals bali is a traditional culture and it is a anti-animal right activity, but it is a very ancient culture so people believe it for longlife the human beings living culture in the world.

Paiyun Region

Paiyun region (chettra) is that place which is famous by Paiyun Kalika Mandir, the Mandir situated on top of hill of paiyun chettra, which is located on best sunset view point of paiyun sector.

From paiyun kalika mandir we can see the various part of parbat and syangja district fluently and we can also look the other many neighbour district of nepal. From paiyun kalika mandir (temple) we can also take enjoy with the different mountain renge of nepal like Annapurna Himal, Macchapuchre Himal and many more. We can also see the various natural scenes from there, we feel the heavenly entertaintment from here.

Many internal and external tourists are goes to paiyun hill to view the various part of villages, natural resources, mountain peaks and rivers etc. They are also feel entertainment by looking the Ganadaki River from there, Gandaki River is a very famous and huge river of nepal which is very longet and largest river.

Parbat is also located as a district in Nepal, which is located in western part of Nepal. The Parbat is a most famous district of Nepal where many culture, natural scenes and other beautiful sources are available.
